  • Position Summary:

    IRCCO Executive Director Position. Seeking a dynamic leader to grow and expand value-based care opportunities for statewide rural hospital accountable care organization.

    Responsibilities/Essential Functions

    · Is the executive leader.

    · Sets the vision and direction for the organization.

    · Executes the strategic plan.

    · Is accountable for organizational performance.

    · Is responsible for governing board preparation and meetings.

    · Is accountable for member communication and engagement.

    · Oversees daily operations and compliance program.

    · Maintains a positive working relationship with ICAHN staff and Collaborative Health Systems and/or other business partners.

    · Seeks new managed care and contract opportunities.

    · Seeks new members/participants and specialty care alignment.

    · Is accountable for fiscal management of the organization.

    · Develops strategies for members and joint venture partner(s) to achieve key quality and financial goals for shared savings and contract gains.

    Qualifications

    Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, or Healthcare required along with ten years of leadership experience in healthcare or insurance industry. Extensive experience in contracting, data analytics, operations management, strategic planning, and business development. Prior work experience with ACO preferred as well as working with rural healthcare organizations. The IRCCO Executive Director is a full-time salaried position with benefits.

    Requirements

    Must be able to travel and work in corporate office, as necessary. Position requires a current unrestricted driver’s license.

    Reports directly to the IRCCO Board President and/or designee.

    Description

    Illinois Rural Community Care Organization LLC (IRCCO) is a statewide rural accountable care organization (ACO) established in 2014 for the purpose of preparing and then contracting with value-based care programs as an organized group of rural hospitals, medical providers, clinics, and support organization. IRCCO daily operations are managed by the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) and located at the ICAHN corporate office in Princeton, Illinois.

    As of 2022, IRCCO is in its seventh year in the Medicare Shared Savings Program (CMS) and fourth year in the Illinois Blue Cross Blue Shield Shared Savings Program. In 2021, IRCCO partnered with Collaborative Health Systems (CHS), a division of Centene, as a joint venture to offer a Medicare Advantage product and participate in CHS’s advanced Medicare payment programs. There are twenty-seven Illinois critical access and rural hospitals, one hundred and fifteen rural health clinics and more than five hundred medical providers participating in IRCCO. IRCCO is owned by eighteen of its hospital members and governed by a board of fifteen managers.
