Conflict of Interest

Objective: The newly created ICAHN Institute debuts its first of four hospital governing board education videos. The subsequent videos will be made available by the end of August. This first video addresses “Conflict of Interest” and is approximately 10 minutes long. Mr. Moore identifies key areas that hospital boards should address as they develop their own policies and how to manage the situation when such a conflict arises. TAG Communications, Davenport, IA, produces this series, under the direction of Randy “RJ” Jacobs, President. Additional videos will focus on provider contracts, board member liability, patient satisfaction surveys, and quality improvement.

During this second video of the two-part ICAHN Institute Board Education video series, Ms. Anderson explains why physician contracts are important, what types of contracts are available, and the various regulations and statutes that govern those contracts.
