  • Position Summary:

    The Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) is seeking applicants for a fulltime, benefits-eligible position as an IT Consultant. The consultant, assisting ICAHN’s Chief Information Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, and IT Operations Coordinator, will be expected to travel throughout the state, working directly with ICAHN’s 57-member hospitals but primarily with those located in southern Illinois. The consultant will also work remotely and be on-call for both ICAHN and all member hospitals.

    This technical support will include, but is not limited to, external and internal vulnerability testing, firewall administration and network monitoring, HIPAA risk analysis, PCI compliance, and server and system administration.

    Applicants should be experienced in network IT design, able to work in a variety of healthcare settings, and also possess strong technical skills to resolve problems related to hardware, operating systems, and configuration issues through troubleshooting, repair, and research. They must also have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an information technology-related field, five or more years of experience in IT, a valid driver’s license, excellent communication skills, rapid response, and decision-making capabilities.
