Featured Speaker:

Sharmilee Nyenhuis, MD. Dr. Nyenhuis is originally from rural southern Illinois and completed medical school and internal medicine training at the University of Illinois Chicago. She completed her allergy/immunology training at the University of Wisconsin and then returned to Chicago to grow the allergy program at the University of Illinois Chicago and Jesse Brown VA. Her research portfolio aims to examine the association of real-time indoor and outdoor air quality and asthma outcomes, test and implement interventions that address diet, weight loss and physical activity in minoritized asthma populations, and examine the impact of climate change in medically underserved populations.
