Hana Hinkle receives ICAHN’s Special Partner Award

Hana Hinkle, PhD, MPH, received the 2022 Special Partner Award

Hana Hinkle, PhD, MPH, received the 2022 Special Partner Award from the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) for commitment to improving the health needs and well-being of rural Illinois residents and their communities. She was also elected to a two-year term as a research and education representative to the National Rural Health Association's Rural Health Policy Congress. Dr. Hinkle serves as Assistant Dean for rural health professions and as Director of the National Center for Rural Health Professions at the University of Illinois College of Medicine-Rockford.

The NRHA Policy Congress is the policymaking body that determines NRHA's positions regarding public policy. The primary responsibilities of members are to:

  • Identify topics and provide technical expertise on the development of NRHA policies
  • Create, review, and approve NRHA policy recommendations and positions
  • Ensure the association's guiding principles and mission are promoted through policy development
  • Develop policy papers to communicate the association's priorities and recommendations
