This interactive session consists of real-world examples of potential HIPAA breaches – and the audience will decide whether they rise to level of a breach or not. After a brief overview of HIPAA news and trends, we will turn our attention to HIPAA conundrums from the headlines, the enforcers, and from practical experience. Together, we will debate: Is it a breach? If so, why? And how can we mitigate it? If not – how can we avoid these close calls? Lively discussion and differences in opinion are welcome! Attendees are encouraged to bring their breach(?) stories.
