Through the ICAHN Physician Leadership Development Program, physicians practicing in rural Illinois hospitals will be empowered to be more effective leaders and collaborators. This highly interactive leadership program begins February 22 and features peer-led discussions, focusing on leadership skills that will help physicians be more effective leading teams, addressing challenges, influencing change, and more.
ICAHN and Day Egusquiza, founder and president of AR Systems, Inc., will present "Observation Opportunities: Are Lost Payments Draining Your Bottom Line?" on February 11 from 10 - 11:30 a.m., followed by a half-hour roundtable discussion. This session will focus on the 2-Midnight Rule, billable hours, drug administration, outpatient surgeries, and extended recovery.

Weiner, JD, Attorney, who discusses three types of board concerns: unrelated business income, employee firing, and fundraising. ICAHN is currently offering a self-paced care coordination certification course for interested healthcare professionals, but primarily nurses and primary clinical staff. Those participating can earn 20 continuing education credits. There are are also partial scholarships available to ICAHN member hospital participants.

Through the American Rescue Plan, $1B has been made available for loan repayment and scholarships for medical providers, nurses, dentists, and other health professional clinician through the National Health Service Corp (NHSC) and Nurse Corp programs. Funding is now available through HRSA for these two programs.
