  • Position Summary:

    The Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit healthcare network that serves 58 small, rural member hospitals throughout Illinois. ICAHN is seeking a Director of Finance at its Princeton, IL headquarters to guide the daily financial operations and human resources functions of the network.  The Director of Finance serves as the fiscal agent for grant and federal contract programs on behalf of ICAHN and the Illinois Rural Community Care Organization (IRCCO).  The Director of Finance reports to the Executive Director and will work closely with the members of ICAHN and IRCCO, and their respective governing boards and finance committees.

    Responsibilities:

    • Drive all financial and accounting functions for the organizations, ICAHN and IRCCO, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly financial reporting, cash management and the year-end single audit.
    • Prepare and monitor invoices for the organization’s business services.
    • Monitor network grants and ensure accurate and timely distribution of grant funds.
    • Issue periodic assessments and member dues
    • Monitor corporate contracts and vendor relationships
    • Assist the executive director with human resources functions and oversight of corporate policies and procedures.


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study
    • Master of Business Administration, Master of Healthcare Administration, and/or CPA preferred
    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in fiscal services with management and financial oversight responsibilities
    • Knowledge and prior experience with hospital and rural health clinic operations preferred
    • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills at the executive level
    • Ability to command respect and confidence with professional peers
    • Proficient in the use of QuickBooks accounting software and the MS Office Suite
    • Ability to strategize and solve problems
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Possess interpersonal and relationship-building skills with team members and clients, while practicing high ethical standards
