The Southeastern Illinois Rural Health (SEIgrow) program was developed from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Workforce Development Grant. The vision of the SEIgrow program is "to sustain a network that creates, facilitates and evaluates health career awareness and opportunities in order to grow and retain a workforce to meet the needs of Southeastern Illinois". The SEIgrow program has provided training opportunities and shadowing experiences to local high schools and college students in Southeastern Illinois to introduce health career opportunities in rural communities.
