By attending this webinar, you will be better able to identify appropriate treatment options for patients with burn wounds, both in the acute setting and long term.

Topics include:

  • Classify burn wound injuries, including mechanisms of burn wound injuries and characteristics of different burn classifications.
  • Describe treatment options for burn wounds, including dressing choice and pain management.
  • Discuss challenges in the management of burn patients, including psychosocial impact of burns.

 Featured speaker:   

Dr. Maria Goodard, MD., CWS, FAPWCA, is a burn and wound care specialist in the Midwest. She received training in General Surgery at Wake Forest School of Medicine and completed fellowship training in Burn Surgery at both the University of Tennessee-Memphis and University of Kansas Medical Center. She is board certified in wound care by both the American Board of Wound Management and American Board of Wound Healing.
