Brad Weir, EMTP, MD, FACEP, FAEMS, will present a webinar, "Sepsis and EMS: The Time is Now" on Friday, July 12 from noon to 1 p.m. Through case studies and discussion, Brad will define and review pathophysiology of SIRS and sepsis, including severe sepsis and septic shock. This webinar will provide tips for resuscitation of septic patients as well as review EMS Region 6 protocols and PCGs. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.
Brad is an EMS Medical Director who is board certified in emergency medicine and EMS. He started in EMS in 1995 and served with the U.S. Army and Air National Guard for 12 years. He has worked in the Carle ED since 2006 and serves as an EMS Medical Director who oversees AirLife, the Pediatric Specialty Transport Team, Mobile Integrated Health, and tactical EMS for SWAT and EOD teams.
