New Telehealth Players
Healthcare delivery is being transformed by new players, including consumer product giants that are rapidly expanding into innovative virtual healthcare modalities, such as telehealth and remote patient monitoring.
In 2020, over $14 billion was invested in digital health and in the first half of 2021, the amount of investment was already above this level, at $14.7 billion. This rapid expansion in the development of digital devices raises questions that we hope to address through out panelists who represent key digital health players: Omron Healthcare, Fitbit, and Samsung, and as industry experts, will share their insights, along with their companies products.
All this will be addressed in the Illinois Telehealth Initiative's next webinar forum, "What Digital Device Innovations Do We Expect Now and in the Near Future," slated for October 13 at noon.
The Illinois Telehealth Initiative (ITI) is a project of the nonprofit Partnership for a Connected Illinois (PCI). Over the last five years, ITI organized Law and Policy Forums examining the telehealth landscape in Illinois and the broader Midwest. The Forums feature interactive panel discussions on the current legal and regulatory environment for telehealth, reimbursement trends and opportunities, and telemedicine delivery and business models.
