Overview: Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a collaborative, goal-oriented style of communication with particular attention to the language of change. This webinar will cover the basics of MI and case examples for application of MI principles, including how to respond to patients ambivalent or resistant to future COVID vaccines.

The webinar will also share information about comMit (comprehensive motivational interviewing training) for health care professionals. comMit is an e-learning program accredited for 8 hours of approved continuing education credit for dietitians, nurses, pharmacists, physicians, and social workers.  ICAHN will be offering the six module e-learning program at a discounted rate.

Featured Speaker: Bruce Berger is President of Berger Consulting, LLC and Emeritus Professor at Auburn University. He has developed comMIt (Comprehensive Motivational Interviewing Training for health care providers). He has taught motivational interviewing in health care and methods for improving treatment adherence for over 30 years.
