OVERVIEW: Clinicians and educators will walk away from this webinar with a better overall  understanding of the current climate of apps used in the clinical management of type 2    diabetes. This will include a discussion of the potential health benefits of app use, app quality, privacy and safety issues, and app recommendations for both clinicians and patients.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:  

  • Analyze the benefits and limitations of app use in type 2 diabetes management based on the research evidence.
  • Explain current developments and future directions in diabetes management.

FEATURED SPEAKER: 

Justine Karduck is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Educator, where she currently serves as the Director of the Didactic Program in Dietetics at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.

As a former clinical dietitian and diabetes educator, she utilizes 16+ years of experience in the field to train future dietitians.
