HIM Peer Network: Information Blocking, USDI & The No Surprises Act
The next HIM Peer Network Group meeting will focus on "Information Blocking and USDI" and
the No Surprises Act as it relates to HIM. The meeting be held via zoom format on Monday, October 17 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

This event will feature Melissa Andrews, a healthcare privacy and compliance professional with more than 10 years of progressive and multi-faceted leadership experience in the healthcare and privacy field. She will discuss information blocking and USDI, as well as the "No Surprises Act" as it relates to health information management.
Melissa has experience developing effective privacy programs by providing leadership in the planning, management, education, and integration of HIPAA privacy rules and regulations and in developing an annual Compliance and Privacy Work Plan. She has also been responsible for leading and conducting internal privacy, security, and human resources investigations as well as Texas workforce, nursing board, and medical board investigations, responding to governmental complaints and inquiries and providing comprehensive guidance on state and federal regulations to executive leaders.
