Asthma Management, Care Planning, and EXHALE Guidelines

Learn how to apply evidence-based asthma assessment, monitoring, and management strategies, including development and implementation of asthma care plans, to improve patient outcomes across the lifespan.

• Discuss CDC's EXHALE strategies, including rationale for asthma education, smoking reduction, home environment management, assessment/monitoring/medications for treatment and emergency preparedness for people with asthma.
• Introduce Asthma Care Plans, with examples, and rationale for sharing this plan with family/friends/educators/employers.
• Discuss asthma care planning for best quality of life for different life stages.
