This continuing education opportunity for IBCCP staff will help you know the relationship between dense breast and cancer risk and how you can use that information to improve patient care.  This is a two-part series on June 22 and June 29. The webinars will be recorded.

Topics Part 1- June 20

  • Anatomy of the breast, comparison imaging and exam of dense breasts.
  • Relationship between dense breasts and cancer.
  • Risks and benefits of additional screening for dense breast.

Topics Part 2- June 29

  • Risk factors and modifiable factors for breast and cervical cancer. Patient education.
  • Ultrasound, mammograms, and MRI for breast imaging.
  • Screening and imaging recommendations.
  • Algorithm for baseline screenings.

Speaker:

Deidra Knobeloch, D.O., is a board certified ob/gyn practicing in rural southern IL. She specializes in all areas of women's healthcare and is fellowship trained in minimally invasive robotic surgery.
