A Deep Dive into Medicare’s Ambulance Cost Reporting Mandate: The Implications for CAHs

This two-part series will examine the regulations and best practices as they relate to CMS's Ground Ambulance Reporting Mandate.  Ground Ambulance providers across the country have been selected to collect information on cost, utilization, revenue, and other service characteristics.  The information collected will help CMS understand the costs that ground ambulance organizations face to provide ambulance services.  The data will be analyzed to assess the adequacy of Medicare payment rates.
