Speaker Bio: Jeri Candor
Jeri had a traumatic injury in 2007 when she broke her neck. Her journey back to health included many modals of healing, but she found meditation to be the greatest factor in that process. Beyond the demands of physical recovery, she found that addressing the mental and emotional side effects of trauma -- issues such as fear, anxiety, stress and depression -- were just as, if not more, important.
She worked in development for higher education for 20 years before making the commitment to provide education and guidance in health and wellness through her company, Jeri Candor Consulting, LLC. With her program, Stress Response Management, she offers both private and public training and professional development courses that cover stress, anxiety, and compassion fatigue, as well as her coaching services. As a field traumatologist, she has worked with first responders, veterans, and survivors of the 2018 Paradise, California fire.
Jeri is a Mayo Clinic Certified Health and Wellness Coach. She holds multiple certifications with Green Cross Academy of Traumatology including Compassion Fatigue Educator, Compassion Fatigue Facilitator, as well as, Field Traumatologist. She is a ten-year practitioner of Transcendental Meditation and is certified to teach meditation and mindfulness by the McLean Meditation Institute.
