Outpatient Surveys

Often the first impression of a hospital is through the services obtained in the outpatient setting. These services are often difficult to capture in a standard HCAHPS survey. ICAHN will offer a selection of questions to provide feedback for the following outpatient services:

  • Cardio-Pulmonary Services
  • Laboratory Services
  • Therapy Services
  • Radiology Services
  • Outpatient Surgery

Domains will range from:

  • Before the appointment
  • Waiting
  • Hospital environment and facilities
  • Seeing a provider or other professional
  • Overall experience about the appointment
  • Tests and treatment
  • Leaving the Outpatient Department
  • Overall impression

ICAHN Survey Services

ICAHN will offer one mailed survey per patient up to 100 patients/month or 25 patients/service/month depending on the focus and requests of the hospital. De-duplication in the past 30 days will be provided to avoid repeat surveys. The goal is to receive a 40% response rate of those surveyed. Specific surveys will be developed with the hospital.
