Bill Auxier, Ph.D.

Dr. Bill Auxier is a contributing author to the Wall Street Journal Best-seller Masters of Success, author of the award-winning best-seller To Lead, Follow, a speaker, founder of the Dynamic Leadership Academy™ for Rural Health, creator and host of the weekly Rural Health Leadership Radio podcast, Adjunct Assistant Professor teaching leadership to graduate students at the University of Maryland University College, member of the NRHA Rural Health Congress and 40-year veteran of the healthcare industry.

Bill assists successful rural health leaders and leadership teams continuously improve thru lasting positive behavior change.  He does this by utilizing what he has learned about leadership in the real world combined with what he has learned about leadership in the academic world.

In the real world, Bill started his career in healthcare in Southern Illinois as a nurse’s aide at Hamilton Memorial Hospital.  From there, he worked his way up to become the CEO of a medical device manufacturer with global distribution.  In the academic world, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business, a Master’s degree in Communication and a Doctorate in Leadership.  During his career, one of the most rewarding experiences was coaching and mentoring others.  That is Bill’s calling.  Bill’s mission is to improve healthcare in Rural America, one leader at a time.

Bill and his wife, Elise, just celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary.  Having raised their children in Traverse City, MI, they are now “empty nesters” living in Florida where Elise is also a speaker and executive coach.  Their daughter, Maren, is an entrepreneur living and working in Florida, and their son, Billy, along with his fiancé Bobbie Kristine, live and work in Beijing, China.

Case Managers:

With Donated SHIP funds we have purchased one book/hospital.  Our goal is that we begin using a chapter at a time and work through some material together both in-person and via webinars.
