The Critical Access Recruitment Services (CARS) The Critical Access Recruitment Services (CARS) is a Limited Liability Company (LLC) of the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN). The Company is organized for the purpose of providing physician and mid-level provider (nurse practitioner, physician assistant and CRNA) dedicated recruitment services to the 50 ICAHN member hospitals. A full-time staff recruiter provides recruitment services solely to the ICAHN members. This includes identifying and tracking candidates, consultative services to assist network hospitals in promoting their opportunities, and advice as to the conduct of candidate visits. The CARS Partnership Advantage The Critical Access Recruitment Services (CARS) has partnered with the Illinois Department of Public Health’s Center for Rural Health, the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, and the University of Illinois Rural Medical Education Development (RMED) program to better help us connect with potential candidates and provide an easier venue for candidates to visit member network hospitals. In addition, ICAHN and CARS will offer on-going educational programming to assist participating network member hospitals in designing individual marketing programs, enhance recruitment techniques and evaluate medical staff recruitment and development plans. An important consideration is that CARS will develop long-standing relationships with medical and health professional schools. The CARS program allows interested members to work together combining resources in order to become more competitive in the Illinois health care marketplace.
