Ken Reid named ICAHN Secretary-Treasurer


Ken Reid, President/CEO, Carlinville Area Hospital, was named Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network at its annual member meeting on November 14th in Champaign. In his new role, Mr. Reid will support the organization and its mission to strengthen and provide assistance and resources to its 55 member hospitals.

Pat Schou, Executive Director of ICAHN said, "I am excited about working with Ken in the coming year. He will bring valuable experience to our board and help us navigate through the many changes and exciting times that are ahead of us.” 

Mr. Reid has served as President/CEO of Carlinville Area Hospital for 10 years. Prior to joining CAH, he was the Chief Operating Officer of the Springfield Clinic from 1994-2005. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and has been a fellow in the organization since 2007.

Mr. Reid also currently serves as a member of the Illinois Hospital Association’s Small and Rural Hospital Steering Committee. He has been active in local organizations and is a Paul Harris fellow and past president of the Carlinville Rotary Club, member of the Boy Scouts of America Abraham Lincoln Council Executive Board, and received the Carlinville Chamber of Commerce 2014 Leadership Award. He is an active member of SS Mary and Joseph Catholic Church and has served as a volunteer coach and scout leader.

Mr. Reid received his Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Illinois in Springfield and his undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, which included training as a Medical Technologist at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
