The Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network recently awarded Patty Luker, CEO, OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth, its President’s Award for her dedicated service to the statewide hospital organization. Most recently serving the ICAHN network as chairman of its External Peer Network Committee, Ms. Luker has been a tremendous supporter of the organization whose mission is to strengthen and provide assistance and resources to its 53 member hospitals.
“In 2003, Patty Luker was named CEO for Dr. John Warner Hospital and immediately became active with ICAHN, agreeing to serve as one of its first Board of Directors in 2004. Patty later became President-Elect in 2007 and ICAHN President in 2008,” said Pat Schou, ICAHN Executive Director, during ceremonies held November 11th at ICAHN’s Annual CAH Conference, held at The Crowne Plaza, Springfield.
“Patty has remained committed to ICAHN even when she moved into her new role in 2009 as President of Holy Family OSF Healthcare, agreeing to serve on the legislative committee and several other ICAHN workgroups,” said Schou. “She currently serves as chair of the External Peer Review Network, a position she has held for several years, and has helped that program grow to a multi-state service. We are grateful for her ongoing support and leadership and feel she is truly deserving of this award.”
The External Peer Review Network was developed by ICAHN to serve as an independent and confidential resource and to support its members’ verification of medical staff evaluation efforts.
